KEL-ERM | split cable entry frames
for cables with connectors / IP66 / UL Type 12/4X*
The KEL-ERM is an optimised further development of the proven KEL-ER and sets new standards for split cable entries for pre-assembled cables. Designed for demanding industrial applications, it combines maximum sealing performance, ease of installation and exceptional flexibility in a well-engineered system.
In addition to the high IP66 protection rating when using single cable grommets, the KEL-ERM enables the secure use of multi-hole cable grommets with up to IP65 protection for the first time (certified acc. to EN 60529). Depending on the grommets used, cables ranging from 1 to 35 mm can be reliably routed, sealed and strain-relieved in accordance with EN 62444. The proven automatic locking mechanism for the grommets in the frame further simplifies installation and ensures that the grommets are securely held in place. Once assembly is complete, the cover is securely screwed into place.
Thanks to the injected seal, no additional flat gaskets are required for wall mounting. This increases process reliability, as it eliminates the risk of forgetting to fit a gasket, and also reduces installation time.
The KEL-ERM is compatible with standard cut-outs for 10-, 16- and 24-pin heavy-duty connectors. The KEL-ERM-B size is based on 46 × 46 mm cut-outs (e.g. for controllers, meters).
For situations requiring a higher level of security and stability, the KEL-ERM is optionally available with integrated threaded bushings. These allow installation from the inside of the enclosure and provide additional protection against vandalism or accidental loosening.
